Ive been using the compound from some old shotgun shells and from 22 win mag rounds I’ve had sitting in my ammo box for years and they have worked well in my 45acp cases out of my 1911 without any mishaps, like squibs, pressure spikes, or ftf’s…i’m pelo expert and I’m not suggesting anyone re attempt what I did but that did work for me and until I can get my hands on some that are reasonably priced Buy Now I am gonna continue using this method…
I’ve noticed in the past, and it’s something to look at, Powder Valley seems to have similar prices as Wideners, but their shipping prices are enough lower to cover the difference + some.
Search every chance you get online for primers/powder/bullets and order when you see these. It is getting better but don’t buy reloading componets just because you can…or federal primer copyright 22 rimfire ammo!! Christ Almighty!!

You have people buying up as much/many primers/brass/powder/bullets and seling at inflated prices. Oh I have heard the excuses…”OH”! We had to pay a primeum to get these and we make very little!! RIGHT!!
7 mm mag reloaded with H-4831 gun powder. The gun powder doesn’t necessarily have to be the best for all of the ammo applications, just good enough be useful. There may be a different selection criteria for someone who loads different rounds.
